Heather & Whitney’s fantastic blog and subsequent book, helped me survive those first months when I was on maternity leave and had no idea what to do with my new little bundle of poop joy. I was jealous though, of all the great places to take young children in the East Bay. It has taken a little research and lots of exploration, but I was happy to contribute A Week in Marin for Rookie Moms readers on this side of the bridge, visitors who want to see more than Muir woods when north of the Golden Gate Bridge and local moms who are willing to cross a bridge for new activities with the little ones.
If you are explorer, or used to be one before the rugrats, take a look around Backpack to Buggy for inspiration to practical tips to get you traveling again.
