For location, amenities, price and service, the Holiday Inn Saratoga Springs is my current favorite. After suffering slow traffic last year, I booked the Holiday Inn with hopes of only needing our car to drive to SPAC.

It’s Fun to Stay at the YMCA Salisbury, Hong Kong.

When I visit Hong Kong, I like to stay at the YMCA Salisbury in Tsim Tsau Choi. This is not a glorified dormitory (though they do have a dormitory for those on a hostel budget), but rather a conveniently located, full service hotel with family friendly services and breathtaking views of Hong Kong Island.

After striking out on many last minute reservations attempts at the popular coastal California eco-resort Costanoa, I was ecstatic to enjoy a two night stay in the resort’s lodge during January.
Their “pace of nature” tag line is not far off.
