A Brief Review of India Travel Guides

I shared with you my process of selecting travel guides here. Having just gone through this, I thought I’d share a brief review of the guides I browsed before making my purchase decisions. The three big areas of differentiation between publishers and series seem to be: background & context, destination information, and logistics. Largely in the order I pulled them off the shelf, all of these are guides for India.

How do I choose what guide I will buy when there are so many different ones? I’m not loyal to any single series or publisher. I look for the right guide for the destination and type of trip I am taking.
Saratoga Springs: Hotels

For location, amenities, price and service, the Holiday Inn Saratoga Springs is my current favorite. After suffering slow traffic last year, I booked the Holiday Inn with hopes of only needing our car to drive to SPAC.
